I'm an American but want to teach English abroad in a Hispanic country?
All Americans have European ancestry, except for the Native American population, who are Asian. Europe and Latin America are completely different ballparks. Whatever you do it should go without saying that you need to speak Spanish very well, should go without saying but you would be surprised how often people who don't speak a foreign language ask here if they can go teach English, like there is an unlimited number of advanced English speakers there! You would really need at least a Masters degree to be able to compete, that is just a country that does not need it. Now, Latin America is the exact opposite. Depending on where you go you can teach English with no degree or certification at all, though you might be teaching kids. Do some research on language schools and get in contact with them to see if they need an English teacher, they might also be able to offer some help, if you are going into the less developed countries they will generally not have English websites, some of the Mexican ones do. Mexico will also have higher qualifications than the southern countries do, and they have a more organized school system.
