Why is singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" bad for auditions?

I am wondering why, because a lot of the time people say you should never sing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" for musical theatre auditions. Is it because Judy Garland sand it so beautifully that no one can even compare?
